Did ya miss me?
I've been quite busy despite the lack of posting (and I am apologetic/guilt-ridden about that). The job training is finally over though and hopefully I will have a bit more time. This is perhaps a joke though, since there have been some (rather wonderful) personal developments of late.
Nay, I do solemnly type that I will endeavor to blog on a more regular schedule. I have to you see, I've got two of them now!!
I did get some painting and games in, and aside from one or two minis I don't yet have, the Mordheim warband is done. I have to buy yet another knight, since he fell in battle and was crushed to death by said horse (who also died, sad to say). Daemonic Warhorses don't grow on trees, y'know! For now we're going to have to just deal with 5 BS5 crossbowmen and a BS6 hired elf and Sarah Jayne (also BS6) and her rifle of doom.
The War Dolls project is off and running now. You can see the chatbox here or click on the link there. We've got some great girls on board right now and are looking for more. If you are interested let us know in a comment, chatbox or email! We have some great things planned, and are always getting more ideas.

Update update!
Besides training at work, here's what I've been up to. As previously mentioned my Mordheim band bought it's 2nd Trade Wagon. It's completed as of now, but I haven't had the opportunity to take photos yet. Expect some next update as I'm headed to Phoenix Games today to "get my geek on".
Also, there's a new chat pod! Commissar Carrie, Katie Drake, Mistress of Minis and I are embarking on a mission to unite the girl gamers! The new chatbox is the first of a few projects we will be working on. If you want to contribute or just be a part of the War Dolls, then drop one of us a line or hit us up in the chatbox!

Recharged! I needed that.
I got in my 2 (makeup) weekly games of Mordheim yesterday and one very large 40k battle with a good friend I haven't seen in a while. We wound up doing a 2 v 2 battle since the store was so crowded. It was Grey Knights & Space Wolves vs. Eldar and (my) Tyranids. Noah wound up having to leave at the end of turn 4, but he had managed to dislodge the Imperial forces from their (C&C) objective, whereas I had about 16 Stealerbugs piled atop ours. I had another nearly-full brood holding the hill after a failed charge from the Blood Claws (go venomthrope!!) It was still anyone's fight, since there was a Stormraven full of Paladins on it's way to our own objective.

Fiction - Merchant Adventures (part 1)
Annabelle Evarion trudged up the path towards the little village she’d heard about over a game of cards. The village wasn’t well known but what she’d heard was that therein lived a simple wainwright that built the sturdiest wagons within 500 leagues. She’d spent the last of her inheritance here in a grand investment plan. She had to get rich, or she’d be in trouble, especially if her father found out that she’d taken her inheritance before he was actually in the grave.

Mordheim - Project(s) Update
A quick Easter update!
I've pretty much finished the wagon. I feel like there may be something more that I could do to it. Steps, secret compartments, something. I just can't figure out what that is though. I also carved a yoke! It's not the prettiest, but I put magnets in it and found a pair of horses to pull it along. I would like a couple of different ones, but these will do if nothing else shows up.

The Wheels on the Bus...
Annabelle Evarion's wagon commission (for my upcoming Mordheim Merchant Caravan warband) is rolling right along. I'm still not finished with it though. She's now telling me there needs to be a roof on it. Of course, Magnet Princess that I am, I'm going to make it removable. Who knows when she'll turn up with large cargo, or if the the weather is nice.
I still haven't found the proper horses to pull the wagon though. Fortunately the next campaign won't start for a couple more weeks still.

Mordheim - Harr'Tak's Raiders
So, on Mordheim day at the shop last week. You know the one I blogged about, having spent the day painting my pride-and-joy Sharphoof figure... Yeah that's the one. The Raider's first game of the day was against Da Machine's Undead. The mission was to hold buildings. The Raiders had managed to claim 3 buildings and was about to contest the 4th. There were two zombies inside and several milling about outside. The Chaos Warhounds attacked the outside zombies and Sharphoof plowed through the one by the door, and headed inside. He found the two zombies there and engaged them in combat. One dropped to his onslaught while the other kept trying to stab him with a dirty kitchen knife. After a moment or two, two dregs barged in and held him down while the zombie ate his brain.
Poor Sharphoof.
Now the band has turned to the most experienced beastman to lead them. Sadly, this is Harr'Tak. He's horribly scarred (causes fear), has a half healed chest wound (-1T) and is psychologically scarred as well (hates the Dwarf Noble). Clearly the best choice to lead this band. Clearly.
I'm having fun though, and without a doubt this does give my warband character!

Mordheim - Sharphoof's Raiders
So the gang at the LGS recently started a Mordheim League. I figured I would give it a try. The Sisters of Sigmar sounded interesting and very Sisters of Battle (and I figured I might could use the figures in my army). Sad to say I didn't find the Sisters models very appealing. I've always loved beastmen though, so after looking at them, and the models I decided to give it a whirl.
