Fully Armed and Operational...

I haven't *completed* the Terra's Virtuous Wrath yet, but it's definitely ready for the table. I want to put more detail on the barrel of the defense laser. Just a little texture and maybe some wiring type detail.

I'm really excited about the Apocalypse game next weekend. I have been working on terrain all week, and have half my walls (including the gate) primed to paint this evening. The players are starting to get geared up too, working on lists and stategems and such. Yay!! I'm a happy camper.

I just finished the two wall sectons and the gate. Behold! Not exactly fancy, but sufficient, quick and very very inexpensive! I'm still going to add some flock to the bases but right now table quality is the desired result.

  1. That fan/turbine is a really neat touch.

  2. Thank you! I thought it was neat too. I'd never seen a PC fan quite like it. Once I get the finishing touches on it, I'll see if I can't get a shot of the interior below the fan.

  4. Hello HG, I am fairly new to 40K and I am interested in building an Eldar army. If you have time would you please look at this link and give me a ballpark figure of the retail value. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250679947421&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:US:1123...... I am really enjoying your blog. thanks,Garnet Faulkner (zensurfer)

  5. @ Judd - aww thanks. :) I do have to admit the GW city stuff isn't half bad, especially if you need terrain fast. Their trees and craters aren't worth it to me, and the Fortress set they have is nice, but far to expensive for what you get.

@ Zensurfer; those figs, if purchased today would be well above $700. However, some of those models and packaging are outdated, leading me to believe they were purchased long ago when prices were not what they are today. Assembled models also have far far less value to me personally, as I prime on the sprue. I don't see weapon sprues for the Falcons either, so those aren't complete.

On the upside, if you are looking at an 'instant army' that wouldn't be bad if you can get it for cheap.

  6. Thank you for taking the time to respond. Do you think the army is worth say $300?

  7. @Zensurfer; if you can get the army for that, you'd be doing pretty well.
